A visit to Swago Pond is always a good idea. Swago Pond is a relatively wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Callicoon Creek - North Branch is a delightful whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Swago Pond, and camping at Red Barn Campgrounds is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby French Woods Golf & Country Club is a brilliant way to kill some time, and if you need a place to stay The Lodge at Woodloch is a great choice. Delaware Campgrounds is a nice local campground, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Tone.
Summertime highs at Swago Pond generally tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For
the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Swago Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful site for whitewater paddling near Swago Pond is Callicoon Creek -
East Branch, and after a long day outdoors Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a fine site to spend a night or two. If the weather is pleasant here at Swago Pond, you can go for a hike along the Crawford Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Big Bear while you're here.
