Many people like to go to Surprise Lake. For the duration of the months of summer at Surprise Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Surprise Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. At Lake George Dam in the neighborhood of Surprise Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and the Mile Trail offers
hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Deadman Run while you're here at Surprise Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wisp is relatively near. Surprise Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; July is the wettest
month with most rain; the driest month is February.
There's just no way someone can get bored here at Surprise Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Deer Lake; there's magnificent hiking along the Great Gorge Trail.
