What a nice lake Sunrise Lake is. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Sunrise Lake reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Lake. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Hornbeck's Creek, and as expected, all our national parks are perfect spots to visit and Delaware National Scenic River is no exception.
The Bald Hill Trail offers hiking
at its best; a great close by hotel is Scottish Inns Milford. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Shohola Creek, and fine skiing awaits you at Tanglwood. There's no such thing as a bad day
of skiing at nearby Shawnee Mountain, and a nice location like Wild Meadows here at Sunrise Lake is too glorious to miss.
A lake close by is Log Tavern Pond; Sunrise Lake is right by the Flat Ridge Trail. The amount of rain that
falls at Sunrise Lake is close to the national average; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. At Sunrise Lake you can observe Bald Hill; Dingmans Campground is a splendid local campground.
