New Holland Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to, and you'll probably meet some folks from Lancaster here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Octoraro Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and good skiing awaits you at Blue Marsh. Calamus Run is a brilliant spot to take a look at, and Historic Strasburg Inn formerly Netherlands Inn       is a brilliant spot to get some rest. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Strasburg Reservoir; through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is ordinarily the driest month. While you're here at Strasburg Reservoir, you could also stop by delightful Graffa Pond, and in close proximity to Strasburg Reservoir you stumble on a golf course called Tanglewood Manor Golf Club. The top of Oak Hill is easily seen from                  Strasburg Reservoir, and hiking along the Horseshoe Trail is perfect fun. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Strasburg Reservoir get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Strasburg Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Muddy Creek - Susquehanna Tributary, and camping at White Oak Campground is always a great experience. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun.
