South Mountain Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. South Mountain Reservoir is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Moyer's Lake and Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby, and since you're here at South Mountain Reservoir, checking out Bauer Rock is a must. Unami Creek is a good whitewater spot in the vicinity of South Mountain Reservoir, and a great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Allentown. The high level of rain makes South Mountain Reservoir a quite wet place; the month with
most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February. During the warmest time of the year here at South Mountain Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course,
generally in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at South Mountain Reservoir.
There are plenty of people from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton here at South Mountain
Reservoir, and don't leave South Mountain Reservoir without first paying a visit to Crystal Spring. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tohickon Creek, and Jordan Creek is close to South Mountain Reservoir and is always a joy to explore.
