For the period of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Smith Reservoir, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Smith Reservoir. If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Blue Knob. There's so       much to do here at Smith Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Friendship Village is a great site for that. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Bedford; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Cabin Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Bedford Inn is a great place to get some rest, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Bedford Elks Lodge 1707 Golf Course. Visit Cumberland Valley Run                  since you're here at Smith Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Bobs Creek. Have a great hiking adventure along the Reservoir Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Town Creek. While you're here at Smith Reservoir you can take a hike along the Garlick Trail, and Smith Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Bethel Park Campgrounds is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. John C Smith Dam is an interesting thing to check out.
