Good hiking is available along the Old Bulldozer Road Trail, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western Genetti Hotel & Convention Center. Stay the night at Moyers Grove Campground and RV, and paddling on Harveys Creek is so much fun. If you want to play some golf,       you're in luck because Huntsville Golf Club Market is close at hand, and glide down the rapids of Wapwallopen Creek in a kayak. The amount of rainfall that falls at Smith Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Smith Pond through the summertime months are in the 80's, and the night is slightly                  cooler of course, usually in the 50's.
