All through the warm days of summer highs here at Sly Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Sly Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Elk Mountain is a very popular ski area close by; while you're here you can play some golf at Lake Lorain Golf Club.       A fine place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Sly Lake is Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Mount Tone has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sly Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Weequahic. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Lackawanna River, and Lake Como Dam is a pretty location, certainly worth                  going to. There's so much to do here at Sly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Falls Campground is a splendid place for that; Spruce Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit.
