Sure, Scarlat Lake is in close proximity, and Moyers Grove Campground and RV is a pleasant campground nearby. From a rain point of view Simms Pond is a rather common location; June is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not far from Simms Pond, you'll come across Smith Pond which is a beautiful lake, and you're sure                  to encounter some wonderful folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre here.
