A round of golf at nearby Valley Green Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time, and a fine close by hotel is Super 8 Etters/Harrisburg Area. Summertime brings highs in the                  80's to Silver Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while Silver Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Bermudian Creek; since you're here you can take a hike along the Darlington Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pinchot Lake is in close proximity to Silver Lake, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Water Tank Trail. Head up to Ski Roundtop and strap some skis to your feet; a good site to camp here at Silver Lake is Cedar Lake Seasonal Camp Ground.
