Head up to Blue Marsh and strap some skis to your feet, and of course, this is a brilliant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Silver Creek is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. There are good locations to explore along the Sand Spring Trail, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nescopeck Creek. A great site to camp here at Silver       Creek Reservoir is Blue Mountain Lakes, and you'll probably meet some people from Pottsville here. A normal amount of rain falls here at Silver Creek Reservoir; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is typically the driest month. Silver Creek Reservoir is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Christmas Pines Camp Ground is a splendid local campground, and going for a hike on the Yellick Path is always a great adventure.                  Just can't get enough of Silver Creek Reservoir. A glorious nearby hotel is Ramada Pottsville, and Upper Tumbling Run Dam is an exciting thing to check out. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Silver Creek Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Silver Creek Reservoir descend into the 10's. Black Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot next to Silver Creek Reservoir, and if you need a spot to stay Pottsville Inn and Suites is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful.
