In Pennsylvania there are many beautiful lakes, Silver Creek Reservoir is one of them. Hiking along the Northkill Path is tremendous fun; if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Pottsville is a good choice. The Yellick Path offers hiking at its best; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Nescopeck Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Ramada Pottsville, and Silver Creek Reservoir is not far at all from Pottsville.

| | Reservoir throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Silver Creek Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. The annual rain here at Silver Creek Reservoir is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month.

Why not go to close by Mill Creek if you're here at Silver Creek Reservoir; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Blue Marsh. Silver Creek Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Silver Creek Reservoir is
a nearby lake, and you don’t have to go far from Silver Creek Reservoir to observe the water at Upper Tumbling Run Dam. All the outdoors cool stuff in close proximity to Silver Creek Reservoir will keep you coming back again and again.
Silver Creek Reservoir is right by the Sand Spring Trail, and Silver Creek Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Mountain Lakes is a delightful local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so
much to do here at Silver Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Christmas Pines Camp Ground is a magnificent place for that; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Black Creek.
