If you come at the right time of year, Nescopeck Creek offers some delightful whitewater; don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Mill Creek.

is a great site to spend a night or two; magnificent water scenery is available at Lower Tumbling Run Dam next to Silver Creek Reservoir.
Hit the slopes at Blue Marsh in close proximity, and at Silver Creek Reservoir you always
meet someone from Pottsville. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Yellick Path, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Black Creek. From a rain point of view Silver Creek Reservoir is a quite normal place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
