Blue Marsh is a good local ski area, and you can stay the night at Christmas Pines Camp Ground. Mill Creek is next to Silver Creek Reservoir and is always a diversion to pop by, and hiking along the Sand Spring Trail is splendid fun. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Silver Creek Reservoir, you'll locate Silver Creek which is a charming lake, and do take a hike on the Yellick       Path. All through the summer months here at Silver Creek Reservoir, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Silver Creek Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Silver Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Mountain Lakes is a great site for that, and                  going for a hike along the Northkill Path will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Silver Creek Reservoir is Black Creek, and you'll probably meet some folks from Pottsville here. If you need a place to stay Pottsville Inn and Suites is a delightful choice, also Lower Tumbling Run Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. What a site this is for outdoors people.
