During your visit to Siebert Lake you'll meet some folks from Somerset for sure, and there's whitewater on Casselman River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. Miller Run is near Siebert Lake and is always a diversion to pop by, and you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Frostburg Reservoir. At Siebert Lake you can see Shocky       Hill; do visit Western Maryland Reservoir, it's a charming lake. Siebert Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Brush Creek near Siebert Lake, and a great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Grantsville. Siebert Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, New Germany State Park is a tremendous                  local campground; the snow is good at The Springs at Laurel Mountain. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Siebert Lake. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
