This lake is so wonderful. The Ash Ridge Spur offers hiking at its best. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great world it would be. There's whitewater on Towanda Creek - South Branch for all you thrill seekers, and there's always Black Pond Dam to have a look at in close proximity to Shores Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Towanda Motel; there's brilliant hiking along the Fox Hollow Spur.       Camping at Shores Pond is perfect fun, Riverside Acres Campground is a perfect local campground, and don't leave Shores Pond without first going for a hike along the Irish Settlement Trail. Towanda Motel & Restaurant is a great place to get some rest, of course you could also explore Black Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Schrader Creek in close proximity to Shores Pond, and while you're here and                  you like golf, you can stop at Towanda Country Club. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Sayre here, and Shores Pond is a perfect site to camp, Mountain Lake Hotel is a perfect site. Shores Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; June is the month that gets the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. High temperatures at Shores Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's.
