There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Shores Pond. Going for a hike along the Irish Settlement Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and next to Shores Pond you hit upon a golf course called Towanda Country Club. Shores Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Riverside Acres Campground is a delightful local campground, and a nice close by hotel is Comfort Inn Towanda. The       amount of rain that falls at Shores Pond is close to the national average; June is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Shores Pond while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Shores Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is brilliant here at Shores Pond, you can go                  for a hike along the Ash Ridge Spur; camping at Mountain Lake Hotel is always a wonderful experience. There's whitewater on Schrader Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Fox Hollow Spur. This lake is so wonderful. At Shores Pond you always meet someone from Sayre, and La Hacienda Inn is a delightful site to get some rest.
