Shippensburg Reservoir is a great location to visit for more than one day, Conewago Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and Ski Liberty is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Shippensburg Reservoir gets a normal amount of rain; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western       Shippensburg Hotel is a good choice; if you're here, you could take a look at Shirley Run. Near Shippensburg Reservoir you hit upon Griers Hollow which is a delightful place to explore; hiking is a popular thing to do around Shippensburg Reservoir; Lippencot Trail is a splendid local trail. Good hiking is available along the Wildcat Trail, and there are plenty of people from Chambersburg here. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pole Bridge Trail, and Caledonia                  Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Colonels Crk Campground is a wonderful local campground, and drift down the rapids of Conewago Creek - West in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Rodeway Inn Shippensburg is a perfect place to get some rest, and Poke Hill can be made out from Shippensburg Reservoir. So much cool stuff to do at Shippensburg Reservoir, so little time. Just can't get enough of Shippensburg Reservoir. Not far from Shippensburg Reservoir, you'll find Long Pine Run Reservoir which is a pretty lake; paddling on Antietam Creek - East Branch is so much fun. All through the summer at Shippensburg Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's.
