If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Sheridan. Lake Sheridan is right by the Pinnacle Trail, and Montage Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Lake Sheridan Dam if you're here at Lake Sheridan; if you need a spot to stay Lift Inn is a fine choice. Baylors Mud Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore; at       Lake Sheridan you can see Casterline Hill. You can run the rapids of Spring Brook near Lake Sheridan, and there's some flowing water close by, Utley Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. Motel 81 is a great place to get some rest; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Scranton—Wilkes-Barre. Camping at Lake Sheridan is fine fun, How Kola Camp is a fine local campground; Elk Mountain is a very popular ski area in close                  proximity. If you came for an overnight stay Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds is a glorious location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Lakeland Golf Club is always a diversion, and there's whitewater on Lackawanna River for all you adrenaline junkies. Summer at Lake Sheridan arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Sheridan are in the 10's.
