This lake is so wonderful. Brandywine Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot next to Sharpless Lake, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn West Chester, Pa is a pleasant choice. Sharpless Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout July; February on the other hand is the driest. A pleasant close by hotel is Inn At Chester Springs,       and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Fernhill Lake. Throughout the months of summer at Sharpless Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Sharpless Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Take a hike on the Lenade Trail; not far from Sharpless Lake you get some delightful water                  scenery at Lower Dam. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brandywine Creek - West Branch, and Sharpless Lake is right by the Buzzard Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Spring Mountain since you're here, and Koa Philadelphia Westchester is a perfect local campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area next to Sharpless Lake has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Push The Rock is a delightful site to camp, and right next door to Sharpless Lake you hit upon a golf course called West Chester Golf & Country Club.
