What a location this is for outdoors people. An afternoon playing golf at Carmichaels Golf Club is always a delight. This lake is so wonderful. Active Uellow Boy Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by; there's whitewater on Clay Run for all you thrill seekers. Campground 70 is a splendid campground nearby; since you're       here, you could also visit gorgeous Browns Run Reservoir. Shady Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; through July this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Waynesburg, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Deckers Creek. All through the days of summer highs here at Shady Lake get into the 80's; the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course,                  generally in the 50's.
