During the months of summer at Selma Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Selma Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. So many cool things near Selma Lake, clearly extraordinary.       Shohola Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Burchards Creek is close to Selma Lake and is always a pleasure to pop by. If time allows, Delaware National Scenic River is a national park worth stopping at, and Camp Shohola is a great local campground. Having a splendid time at Selma Lake is painless. The Lodge at Woodloch is a fine spot to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Lackawaxen River. A magnificent swamp right                  next door to Selma Lake is Bear Swamp, and Selma Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Lake Greeley Camp is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. A common amount of rain falls here at Selma Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Killams Pond is near Selma Lake, and don't leave Selma Lake without first going for a hike along the Maple Brook Trail. Gotta ski! Ski Big Bear is a magnificent site to do that, and there are splendid places to look at along the Crawford Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Greely Dam near Selma Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Cricket Hill Golf Club.
