    If you are in Fayette county it's always a good idea to stop by Seghis Lakes. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn By Marriott Uniontown is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Chestnut Ridge Regional Park and Campground since you're here at Seghis Lakes. Sand Springs Camping Area Chestnut Ridge Regional Park is a nice local campground. Goodwin Knob is a peak you can catch a sight of from Seghis Lakes, and if you're stopping by  
   from Morgantown, you won't be the only one.
Seghis Lakes is a good place of typical rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Seghis Lakes. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Clay Run, and hiking along the Mile Trail is pleasant fun. High temperatures at Seghis Lakes throughout the summer are in the 80's; the overnight is somewhat chillier
 
               of course, commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Seghis Lakes temperatures plunge to the 10's.
A tremendous place to explore in close proximity to Seghis Lakes is Brownfield Hollow, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cheat River. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Creek flows through this vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Lakeview Scanticon Golf Resort Spa & Conference Center.
