Get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Cheat River, and Brownfield Hollow is nearby, and is a great place. Here at Seghis Lakes you can see Goodwin Knob, and getting to Mountain Creek from Seghis Lakes is trouble-free. High temperatures at Seghis Lakes all through the summer months are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and       night lows in the 10's for Seghis Lakes. After a long day outdoors Karlyn Motel is a wonderful site to spend a night or two, and there are good sites to explore along the Mile Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Burchinal's Mac Motel; there's whitewater on Clay Run for all you adrenaline people. So many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Seghis Lakes, just tremendous. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Seghis Lakes                  has to offer, you can camp at Chestnut Ridge Regional Park and Campground, and there are plenty of people from Morgantown here. From a precipitation point of view Seghis Lakes is a quite typical place; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
