A lake nearby is Ely Lake; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pinnacle Trail. During the long summer days at Schooley Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Schooley Pond. What a spot this is for outdoors folks.
