If you need a place to stay Split Rock Resort is a delightful choice, and Big Spring is a fine local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Mountain Laurel Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time, and getting to Sand Spring Run from Sand Spring Lake is trouble-free. Be careful coming to Sand Spring Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. If the weather is great here at       Sand Spring Lake, you can go for a hike along the Refuge Trail, and you can make out Pine Hill from Sand Spring Lake. Going for a hike along the Boulder Field Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Sand Spring Lake is not the only location close by, Hickory Run Lake is a close by lake. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Hickory Run Park Dam near Sand Spring Lake, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from                  Scranton—Wilkes-Barre for sure. Sand Spring Lake frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. A great place to camp here at Sand Spring Lake is Lehigh Gorge Campground, and Split Rock is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. At Sand Spring Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's.
