Not far from Round Pond you get some magnificent water scenery at Big Boulder Dam, and you can hit the slopes at Split Rock around here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Refuge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn At Blakeslee Pocono. Lots of rain falls at Round Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the       driest month of the year is February. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Choke Creek Trail, and since you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Split Rock Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Big Boulder has glorious slopes and a friendly staff; do put some time aside to spend at Tobyhanna Falls while you're here at Round Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things close to Round Pond. Lots of people from East Stroudsburg come                  to Round Pond, and WT Family Camping is a tremendous local campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Harmony is in the neighborhood of Round Pond. All through the warm days of summer at Round Pond highs are frequently in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Round Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Fern Ridge Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is good on Tunkhannock Creek. Take a hike on the Boulder Field Trail; at Round Pond you can catch a glimpse of Lake Mountain. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
