Soar down the rapids of Elk Creek in a kayak, and lots of people from Erie come here. Not far from Ridge Pond you get some brilliant water scenery at Harbor Basin, and get dripping wet paddling on Walnut Creek. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do near Ridge Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Lampe Marina Campground is a delightful location to       camp, and Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel is a pleasant spot to get some rest. An average amount of precipitation falls at Ridge Pond; all through September this area sees the most rain while January is generally the driest month.
