In Pennsylvania there are many beautiful lakes, Raystown Lake is one of them. High temperatures at Raystown Lake through the summer are in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Raystown Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. | | lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Raystown Lake called the Butler Trail, and near Raystown Lake you come across a golf course called Huntingdon Country Club.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lake Raystown Family Resort is a perfect spot to do that. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Great Trough Creek, and some of the water close by flows, like Hawns Run. There's so much to do here | |

at Raystown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Warrior Ridge Campground is a perfect location for that, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Sideling Hill Creek.
The yearly rain here at Raystown Lake is about average;
the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Going for a hike on the Ramsey Trail is always a tremendous adventure; there are plenty of people from Huntingdon here at Raystown
Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Raystown Dam is not far at all from Raystown Lake; if you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott State College is a splendid choice.
