The beauty of Raystown Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Raystown Lake you can take a hike along the Ramsey Trail, and Raystown Lake is not the only site nearby, Swigart Pond is a nearby lake. Comfort Inn Huntingdon is a brilliant site to get some rest; if you get bored of Raystown Lake you could also stop at nearby Singers Gap Reservoir. | | College is a perfect place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summer months at Raystown Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Raystown Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Going for a hike along the Sheep Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; if you come at the right time of year, Sideling Hill Creek offers some nice whitewater. Here at Raystown Lake there are plenty
of folks from Huntingdon, and camping is available at Warrior Ridge Campground. Very nice water scenery is available at Raystown Dam in the vicinity of Raystown Lake, and do go to Hawns Run since you're here at Raystown Lake.
Raystown Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. If the weather is tremendous here at Raystown Lake, you can go for a hike along the Butler Trail, and why not camp at Lake Raystown Family Resort since you're here at Raystown Lake.
