No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Racavitch Pond. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Tunkhannock is a nice local campground, and nearby you hit upon the Pinnacle Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Montage Mountain. If you're here at Racavitch Pond, you could have a look at Horton Creek, and Shadowbrook       Resort Golf Course is a wonderful golf course close by. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Bowman Creek, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Shibley Pond. From a precipitation point of view Racavitch Pond is a quite common place; June is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre come to Racavitch                  Pond, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a nice view of Shupp Hill from Racavitch Pond. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Clarks Summit is a delightful choice; Helman Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp near Racavitch Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Meshoppen Creek. Lakes are great; Oxbow Lake is a lake that's right next door to Racavitch Pond. For the duration of the warm months here at Racavitch Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Racavitch Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
