Sure, Pickerel Lake is in the neighborhood of Porters Lake, and a perfect nearby hotel is The Lodge at Woodloch. From a rainfall point of view Porters Lake is a reasonably normal location; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. What would winter be without some skiing at Tanglwood, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Kinney       Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Adventure Community Assoc is a wonderful campground nearby; do pop by Rock Hill Creek if you're here at Porters Lake. All the outdoors exciting stuff next to Porters Lake will keep you coming back persistently. Porters Lake Dam is a scenic site close to Porters Lake, and of course, all our national parks are nice locations to stop by and Delaware National Scenic River is no exception. This is a fine vicinity for folks                  who like lakes. Pecks Pond is a lake in close proximity, and you can stay the night at Ken's woods Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. Bush Kill Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; going for a hike on the Bald Barren Trail is always a perfect adventure. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Inlet Swamp is right close by, and Fernwood Hotel and Resort is a brilliant location to get some rest. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Porters Lake rocks! Near Porters Lake you hit upon the Smith Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from East Stroudsburg here. Summertime highs at Porters Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Porters Lake.
