Poe Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Little Poe Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Poe Lake is not the only spot close by, Laurel Creek Reservoir is a close by lake. High Mountain can be observed from Poe Lake, and Poe Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Hartman Center Camp Cnfrnc is a splendid local campground. Poe Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation;

| | June is when you get the most rain here; January meanwhile is the driest month. If you want to stop by some interesting stuff, stop by Price Kettle, and Kishacoquillas Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. On a wonderful day at Poe Lake you can take a hike along the Loggers Path, and a delightful spot to camp here at Poe Lake is Seven Mountains Campground. For the duration of the warm months at Poe Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and | |

throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Poe Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Really great skiing awaits you at Tussey Mountain.
What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Little Poe Valley is a splendid site to spend some time at, and a short visit to Havice Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Lamar
is a great choice, and there are plenty of people from Lewistown here. Poe Lake truly is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Some of the water nearby flows, like Little Poe Creek; you can run the rapids of Elk Creek.
If the weather is magnificent here at Poe Lake, you can go for a hike along the Kerstetter Path, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Nittany Inn Milroy is a fine place to spend a night or two. Very tremendous water scenery
is available at Poe Dam near Poe Lake; if you get bored of Poe Lake you could also stop by nearby Penn Spring Reservoir.

Penn's Creek Camp Ground
 | 15 miles away 8 PHOTOS Penns Creek Campground is located along Penns Creek at the base of Jacks Mountain in the beautiful Buffalo Valley of Union County Pennsylvania. The campground was a former water powered sawmill. The saw mill washed away in a flood but the mill race and dam that powered the water wheel are still in use today. The campground is situated between the mill race and the main creek.
We have sites to fit your every need from primative tent sites to full hook up drive thru sites. We are open from Mid April to Mid October and offer hot showers, dump station, picnic pavilion, horse shoes, basketball, large playground and campground wide activities on most weekends.
Holidays almost always require reservations and some sites are booked years in advance.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all time and must be quiet.

It takes exactly 7 minutes and 43 seconds to get up the lift and 4 minutes and 22 seconds to get up the t-bar (which they fixed with duct tape) Never get chair 32, the bars don't go down, and chairs 75 and 1 are lucky. If you ask nicely in the lodge, they'll warm up your cinnamon bun for you and always try the vending machine without money first, it sometimes works. Also, never use the front door to the lodge, you are guarenteed to fall oh, and the mountain can be skied in full tuck in 15.4 seconds. ... |
