If you need a site to stay Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is a great choice, and a lake nearby is Rake Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Smith Trail is always a great adventure; Pocono Highland Dam is beautiful. Otter Lake Camp-resort is a great campground nearby; don't miss out on a tour to Delaware National Scenic River if you're here. Dry warm beds await you at Caesars Pocono Palace, and       good hiking is available along the Kinney Trail. Lots of rainfall falls at Pocono Highlands Lake; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Alpine Mountain; there's some flowing water nearby, Pond Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you're here at Pocono Highlands Lake and you like golf, you can                  stop by Country Club of the Poconos at Big Ridge; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Brodhead Creek. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do near Pocono Highlands Lake. You could also have a look at Deer Lake since you're here at Pocono Highlands Lake; it's nearby; during your tour here you'll meet some folks from East Stroudsburg for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Fox wood Family Campground is a nice local campground, and perfect skiing awaits you at Shawnee Mountain. Go for a hike on the Bald Barren Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Bush Kill Creek. For the period of the summertime highs here at Pocono Highlands Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's.
