Pocahontas Dam is a beautiful spot next to Pocohontas Lake; skiing at Shawnee Mountain is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail near Pocohontas Lake called the Burley Inlet Trail; Delaware National Scenic River is a very good spot to go to. Summertime highs at Pocohontas Lake typically tend to be       in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Pocohontas Lake. Pocohontas Lake mostly gets lots of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pocono Creek, and folks from East Stroudsburg love to come here. Get soaked paddling on                  Brodhead Creek, and Super 8 Motel - Stroudsburg is a good spot to get some rest. If you came for an overnight stay Mountain Vista Campground is a good place to camp, and the Camelback Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. On a magnificent day at Pocohontas Lake you can take a hike along the Indian Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Alpine Mountain since you're here. Camping is available at Cranberry Run Campground, and Sambo Creek Lower Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. Near Pocohontas Lake you stumble on a golf course called Evergreen Golf Club, and Clarke Falls is always fun to check out. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Pocohontas Lake. While you're here at Pocohontas Lake, you could also visit striking Blue Mountain Lake, and of course Michael Creek flows through this neighborhood. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Pocohontas Lake.
