High temperatures at Place Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Place Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Delaware National Scenic River is a perfect       place near Place Pond, and if you need a site to stay Fernwood Hotel and Resort is a perfect choice. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bushkill Falls, and there's glorious hiking along the Flat Ridge Trail. Camping at Outdoor World Timothy Lake is always a brilliant experience; First Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. Just can't get enough of Place Pond. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Shawnee Mountain;                  a perfect nearby hotel is Value Inn East Stroudsburg. You can take a little trip to Wicks Dam if you're here at Place Pond, and the snow is nice at Alpine Mountain. Place Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. A lake nearby is Second Pond; hiking is a popular thing to do around Place Pond; Kinney Trail is a fine local trail. So much amusing stuff to do at Place Pond, so little time. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Bush Kill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Ken's woods Campgrounds is a brilliant site to do that; get covered with water paddling on Hornbeck's Creek.
