wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. A lake nearby is Second Pond; hiking is a popular thing to do around Place Pond; Kinney Trail is a fine local trail. So much amusing stuff to do at Place Pond, so
little time. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Bush Kill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Ken's woods Campgrounds is a brilliant site to do that; get covered with water paddling on Hornbeck's Creek. Little
Bush Kill is a wonderful stream that is worth checking out; don't leave Place Pond without first going for a hike along the Bald Barren Trail.
