Go to Pickerel Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Take a side tour to Beaver Run, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Shohola Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Lodge at Woodloch is a great location to spend a night or two, and Tanglwood has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Minisink is close to Pickerel Lake, and delightful hiking is available along the Camp Biff Trail. You can run the rapids of Bush Kill Creek close to Pickerel Lake, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Wolf Swamp is right close by. Lake Adventure Community Assoc is a tremendous local campground; do stop by Pickeral Pond Dam since you're here.

and Shawnee Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the vicinity of Pickerel Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Don't leave Pickerel Lake without first going for a hike along
the Smith Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Kinney Trail, and Ken's woods Campgrounds is a great campground nearby.
All through the warm days of summer here at Pickerel Lake, high temperatures typically reach
the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Pickerel Lake. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Pickerel
Lake is excellent! This is a popular location for people from East Stroudsburg; if you're looking for a good visit, Delaware National Scenic River is rather near.
