Do stop by Philipsburg Reservoir while you're in this part of Pennsylvania. This lake is so wonderful. Philipsburg Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Woodland Campground is a perfect local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Black Moshannon Creek offers some perfect whitewater. You might want to pay a visit to Cabbage Hollow while you're here at Philipsburg Reservoir, and swing by Cabbage Hollow Run it's a brilliant place to explore. Philipsburg Reservoir commonly gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly June,
that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Black Bear Trail.
And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do next to Philipsburg Reservoir. If you're stopping by Philipsburg Reservoir from DuBois, you won't be the only one; there are some perfect whitewater spots on Moshannon River.
A perfect site to camp here at Philipsburg Reservoir is Camp Blue Diamond, and going for a hike on the Turkey Trail is always a great adventure.
