All through the warm days of summer at Penn Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Penn Lake truly is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Stay the night at Lehigh Gorge Campground, and Penn Lake is not the only location close by, Francis E Walter Reservoir is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Penn Lake you come across a golf course called Mountain Laurel Golf Club, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Boulder Field Trail. The Choke Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Bear Creek. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area near Penn Lake has to offer.
