A visit to Penn Lake is always a good idea. Just can't get enough of Penn Lake. Fawn Run flows through this vicinity, and the Choke Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. So many enjoyable things to do at Penn Lake, so little time. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Sandy Valley Campground is a good location to camp; Devils Elbow is an out of the ordinary thing to catch a glimpse of if you're here.

| | campground nearby; do take a hike on the Refuge Trail. Very lovely scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Jack Frost; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Split Rock if you're here. Penn Lake is right by the Boulder Field Trail, and Penn Lake is not far at all from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre.

spots on Bear Creek. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Penn Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Penn Lake. Dry warm
beds await you at Knights Inn Lake Harmony/White Haven, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Lehigh River.
Penn Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the
other hand is the driest. If you need a place to stay Mountain Laurel Resort & Spa is a nice choice; an afternoon playing golf at Mountain Laurel Golf Club is always a bliss.
