This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Big Ridge Trail is always a delightful adventure, and lots of folks from St. Marys come here. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Anderson Creek; a wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Executive Inn. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn St. Marys is a magnificent location to spend a night or two; while you're       here, you could explore East Branch Wilson Run. There are magnificent sites to discover along the Indian Rock Trail. There is a wonderful hiking trail in the vicinity of Penfield Reservoir called the Pine Springs Trail. There's so much to do here at Penfield Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Parker Dam State Park is a pleasant place for that. For the period of the summertime months at Penfield Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the                  70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's.
