If you come at the right time of year, Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch offers some perfect whitewater; during your tour here you'll meet some people from East Stroudsburg for sure. The warmest time of the year at Paupackan Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Paupackan Lake are       in the 0's. Paupackan Lake regularly gets a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Paupackan Lake is right by the White Deer Trail, and if you came to camp Lake Mocatek Campground is a fine place to do that. Do explore Craft Pond next to Paupackan Lake, it's a charming lake, and the Brown Trail offers hiking at its best. The slopes of Ski Big Bear are so inviting nobody can resist, and since you're here, you could also go to picturesque Locklin Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Caesars Cove Haven is a perfect place to spend a night or two; Paupackan Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Secluded Acres Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Finn Swamp is around here, and do have a look at Purdy Creek since you're here at Paupackan Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do in the neighborhood of Paupackan Lake. Float down the rapids of Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary in a kayak.
