Panther Lake is a rather wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Ledgedale Recreation Area since you're here at Panther Lake, and a great vista of pretty Carlton Hill is available. This lake is so wonderful. Freeling Run is in the neighborhood of Panther Lake and       is always a diversion to stop by, and camping is available at Camp Pocono Ridge. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Panther Lake, so little time. There are fine places to look at along the Lakeside Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Airy Lodge. Shadowbrook Resort is a great place to get some rest, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch. An interesting thing to visit close to                  Panther Lake is Freeling Run Dam, and if you're here and you like golf, you can explore Buck Hill Falls CO Golf Club. Don't leave Panther Lake without first going for a hike along the Burley Inlet Trail, and you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Lake Russell. Just can't get enough of Panther Lake. The nice folks of East Stroudsburg like to hang out close by, and Alpine Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. Go for a hike on the Boundary Trail, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Wallenpaupack Creek. A striking lake like Panther Lake close to Panther Lake is a splendid place to pop by; if you need a spot to stay Skytop Lodge is a splendid choice. For the period of the summer months at Panther Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
