In Pennsylvania there are many beautiful lakes, Pa-476 Reservoir is one of them. So much amusing stuff next to Pa-476 Reservoir, absolutely amazing. Lakes are magnificent; PA-477 Reservoir is a lake that's close to Pa-476 Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Reading, Pa is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lizard Creek is a great whitewater spot near Pa-476 Reservoir, and Microtel Inn

| | And Suites Hamburg is a glorious spot to get some rest. Summertime highs at Pa-476 Reservoir usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Pa-476 Reservoir.

Reservoir to distinguish the water at Four Mile Run Dam, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. The cheerful folks of Reading like to hang out nearby, and why not head up to Blue Marsh and
strap some skis to your feet.
Not far from Pa-476 Reservoir, you'll find Blue Mountain Lake which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling
on Nesquehoning Creek, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail. Pa-476 Reservoir is a great site to visit for more than one day, Blue Rocks Family Campground is a great site to camp nearby; if the weather
is great, you can go for a hike along the Valley Rim Trail.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pa-476 Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Robin Hill Camping Resort; a round of golf at nearby Perry Golf Course is a great way to kill some time.

Stairway Lake
 | Not to differ from the obscure description given on the site, but Stairway Lake, or the Landingville Dam isn't quite the picture painted by that description. Well...Blue Marsh Ski is a cool half-hour away, you can about jump across Mahannon Creek, Mountain Springs is on the other side of the...mountain. But for real, the Landingville Dam is a decent place for water skiing and bass fishing. It is a superb location for crappie fishing and bird watching. The spillway is a great place for pickerel fishing and the emptying Schuylkill River is a wonderful run on a kayak or canoe. Take 'natural area' and 'desilting basin' with a grain of salt, as this dam is both. Natural enough to see a bald eagle, yet enough of a basin to see hundreds of plastic bottles strewn on the shores. Reasons to come to Landingille: carp, jet skis, foilage, isolation. Reasons not to: total lack of civilization, middle of nowhere, water pollution, isolation.... |
