If you are in this part of Pennsylvania make sure to pay a visit to Orwigsburg Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Pottsville. Orwigsburg Reservoir is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Christmas Pines Camp Ground is a fine place to camp nearby. Blue Marsh is a great local ski area. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Orwigsburg Reservoir. Lower Dam is lovely and it's close to Orwigsburg Reservoir, and Nescopeck Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. The Creek Trail is a magnificent
hiking trail in the vicinity of Orwigsburg Reservoir, and not far from Orwigsburg Reservoir you'll stumble on Stairway Lake which is a scenic lake.
Summertime highs at Orwigsburg Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 80's. For
the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Orwigsburg Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 10's.
