North Lake Dam is a gorgeous site next to North Lake, and a glorious close by hotel is Fernwood Hotel and Resort. Visiting Delaware National Scenic River is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Hornbeck's Creek is a delightful whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Dingmans Campground; a lake nearby is Wild Acres Lake. At North Lake all       through the summer highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while North Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. North Lake is right by the Bald Barren Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bush Kill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Tanglwood is                  right next door to North Lake, and hiking along the Maple Brook Trail is splendid fun. After a long day outdoors Value Inn East Stroudsburg is a splendid spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Flat Ridge Trail. North Lake gets lots of water; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is February. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. Long Ridge Reservation Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the snow is great at Shawnee Mountain.
