Man, is there loads of enjoyable stuff to do near Nines Pond. Lots of people from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre come to Nines Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. A swamp like Balsam Swamp near Nines Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Bear Creek. While you're       here at Nines Pond, you could also visit pretty Bear Lake, and the snow is nice at Split Rock. If you need a site to stay The Woodlands Inn is a great choice, and close by you stumble on the Refuge Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Tunkhannock Creek near Nines Pond, and why not camp at WT Family Camping since you're here at Nines Pond. Going for a hike on the Boulder Field Trail is always a good                  adventure, and Grassy Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Nines Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while Nines Pond night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Nines Pond called the Choke Creek Trail; a quick journey to Butler Run is positively a great idea. Nines Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
