Coon Hill can be spotted from Mud Pond, and what would winter be without some skiing at Elk Mountain. Be careful coming to Mud Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. On a good day at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and a nice nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites       GIBSON. Whitewater paddling is great on Meshoppen Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Shore Forest Campground is a great site to camp. Paddling on Bowman Creek is so much fun. For the duration of the summer months at Mud Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Mud Pond overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the                  10's. This lake is so wonderful. Very gorgeous scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Montage Mountain; Lakeside Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is June while January is commonly the driest month. Comfort Inn Clarks Summit is a good spot to get some rest; if you get bored of Mud Pond you could also take a look at nearby Lord Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
