Mud Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Jack Frost, and Elmcrest Dam is not far at all from Mud Pond. Mud Pond is not the only place nearby, Elmhurst       Reservoir is a nearby lake, and swing by Kellum Creek it's a delightful location to stop by. A great site for whitewater paddling close to Mud Pond is Spring Brook, and nearby you come across the Refuge Trail which is a good hiking trail. Go for a hike on the Choke Creek Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River. High temperatures at Mud Pond through the months                  of summer are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Yeah, come here to Mud Pond for a nice time. So many amusing things to do here at Mud Pond, too good to be true. Holiday Inn SCRANTON-EAST (DUNMORE) is a delightful location to get some rest, and Wemberly Hills Golf Course is a magnificent golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Lakeside Trail is always a good adventure, and Mud Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Clayton Park Recreational Area is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Sleep Inn & Suites Scranton Dunmore is a great place to spend a night or two.
