This lake is so wonderful. A nice panorama of wonderful Finch Hill is available from Mud Pond; Valleyview Farm and Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail. Summertime highs at Mud Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's while       overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary, and Days Inn Scranton PA is a brilliant spot to get some rest. If you're here at Mud Pond and you like golf, you can take a look at Skyline Public Golf Course; dry                  warm beds await you at Days Inn Dunmore-Scranton. A charming lake like Newton Lake in the vicinity of Mud Pond is a delightful site to stop at, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Elk Mountain while you're here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Pond a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture.
