Mud Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Troy Reservoir in the neighborhood of Mud Pond, it's a gorgeous lake, and the great people of Sayre like to hang out close by. Going for a hike on the Bryans Trail is always a great adventure; Miners Run has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. For the duration of the warm months at Mud Pond highs are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, commonly in

| | the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mud Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Lake Nephawin in the neighborhood of Mud Pond is a good place to have a look at. While staying at Mud Pond you could always look at Williams Hollow, and close by you come across the Bovier Run Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. a delightful idea to explore Alba Creek, it's near Mud Pond, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Miles Road Trail.
After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Mansfield is a wonderful place to spend a night or two;
why not camp at Buttermilk Falls Campground since you're here at Mud Pond. Whitewater paddling is fine on Elk Creek; a glorious site to camp here at Mud Pond is Armenia Mountain Campground. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud
Pond is close to the national average; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January.

I was there last sunday night. The flares were beautiful. I did read a sign however that said ''No open fires''. Yet on the public beach side there was an open fire. Who was granted permission to do this? I also noticed a camper parked near the lake on the old softball field. Does this mean we can use that area as a campground? I would love to go camp there. I would reserve a spot all summer long. Bonfires and what not....Pretty little lake in Bradford County... |

Hunters Lake

We hiked around Hunters Lake in November. It was a rainy weekend and some of the trail was very wet but it was a flat, easy hike and the soggy ground was not hazardous. Parking is on the opposite side of Brunnerdale from the lake. Follow the gold blazes to hike around the lake. They begin on your left after crossing the dam. The last mile of the hike is actually on Brunnerdale Road. Not sure why the trail doesn't continue lakeside. Good family outing.... |
