The beauty of Mud Lake is reason enough to stop by. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Loyalsock Creek, and camping is available at Buttermilk Falls Campground. Hiking along the Ridge Trail is wonderful fun; Williamsport Super 8 Motel is a splendid place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a nice little trip to Brunnerdale Run.

| | one of those nearby. A great site in close proximity to Mud Lake is Kettle Creek Gorge; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Williamsport is a glorious location to spend a night or two. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Old House Trail; why not camp at Hemlock Valley Campground since you're here at Mud Lake.

summertime months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is right by the Falls Run Trail; Elk Creek
has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. The amount of rain that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; June is when you get the most rain here; January is the month with the least moisture.
