A lake close by is Trout Lake, and whitewater paddling is fine on Paradise Creek. Do stop by Mountain Springs Dam since you're here at Mountain Spring Lake, and hiking along the Lakeside Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with       water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pocono Creek. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Mountain Spring Lake. Mountain Spring Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Outdoor world Resort is a tremendous local campground; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Alpine Mountain is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day you get a view of Camelback Mountain from Mountain Spring                  Lake, and after a long day outdoors Chateau Resort at Camelback is a nice site to spend a night or two. Mountain Spring Lake is right by the Camelback Trail, and a day on the slopes of Camelback is just what you need. Summertime highs at Mountain Spring Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's while Mountain Spring Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
