Mountain Shadow Lake is a lake worth visiting. While you're here at Mountain Shadow Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Pottsville; Black Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. The warmest time of the year at Mountain Shadow Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mountain Shadow

enough to spend more than a day at, Camp-A-While is a tremendous local campground; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Frackville is a fine choice. There's so much to do here at Mountain Shadow Lake that you need to camp here
for a while, Red Ridge Lake Campground is a splendid site for that; close by you find the Werts Path which is a good hiking trail.
If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nescopeck
Creek, and you'll locate a wonderful lake called Number Three Reservoir. Mountain Shadow Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the
year is February. Rodeway Inn Frackville is a great location to get some rest; hey, Lost Creek is a splendid local stream.
The scenery at Mountain Shadow Lake Dam next to Mountain Shadow Lake is picturesque.
