Mountain Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A gorgeous lake like Lake Francis close to Mountain Pond is a splendid place to go to, and Mountain Pond is a place with many visitors from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Swamp is an exciting swamp in the neighborhood of Mountain Pond; the skiing at Jack Frost is splendid.

Harveys Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Mountain Pond; you obtain a good panorama of Little Nescopeck Mountain from here. A normal amount of rain falls here at Mountain Pond; the month with most of the rain is June while January is typically the driest month.

Mountain Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Nesco Manor is a perfect place to camp nearby. Econo Lodge Drums is a brilliant site to get some rest, and some of the water nearby flows, like Oley Creek.

the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at Mountain Pond, and the night is quite colder of course, typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mountain Pond are in the 10's.
