for more than one day, Clayton Park Recreational Area is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The Pinnacle Trail offers hiking at its best. Mountain Mud Pond mostly gets lots of precipitation; through June
this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer at Mountain Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop
down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mountain Mud Pond during the wintertime frequently sink into the 10's.
